This site was ordered by a Danish eliteplayer, in was is called "Skomarbillard" (Billards). For years he had seen a rising need to get a more flexible solution in handling end execution of the various tournaments across the country. The way it was handled up until this project was by the use of Excel sheets (to handle the scores and rankings) which was shared on their Facebook group page. This proved to give a lot of complications. For instance you couldn't pull out a former tournament, unless you scrolled all the way down to it in the Facebook group. It was hard to get an overview of the tournament history. At the same time, everyone who wasn't participating live in the tournament couldn't follow along, and they couldn't get the result until a game was completed (and the Excel sheet was published on Facebook). All these disadvantages has disappeared with the new site. Now a tournament leader kan sign up as user and create tournaments in a calendar. Under each tournment he/she can generate an arbitrary number of tournament sheets, where each is used to handle each individual game in the tournament. The functionality of the new sheets is developed in JavaScript, and all data is send back and forth to the Wordpress database, through Ajax and use of the REST API.
