Collection Spirits
Collection Spirits is a high-end B2B and B2C spirits company, who has a solid brand and a sharp visual line. The project is created in two phases. Firstly a new branding website, without any E-commerce, was created in Wordpress (with custom minimal page templates. No themes). During this phase I collaborated with Anne Hoff on the design. This site had an external link to another E-commerce shop, with a completely different design, created on the Shopify platform.
Later on it was decided that the webshop should be integrated into the brandingsite. There are several (obvious) reason for this. Firstly it is important that when you sell high-end products, the site should also reflect that. It gives the users a more challenging and less professional experience, when they are taken through two distinctive looking websites, to complete a purchase. Another reason was that the owners wanted to keep the branding experience alive, while users were shopping. So the shops functionality is kind of build-in to the brandingsite, as oppsite to being an E-commerce site which is skinned to "look like" the brand. More than one place users can find shop functionality as a part of editorial content. For instance, on the search results page, when a search result is of the type "Product", there is an Add to Cart button right there to interact with, without leaving the page (see screenshot here on the page).
The screenshots on this page also shows how some of the pages looked like, before the redesign, side-by-side with the new version.
